Swimming is a great way to relax, exercise or spend quality time with your family and friends. And no other Pike Road New Home Community offers more ways to connect with the water. We have two community swimming pools for homeowners to enjoy.
The Lucas Point Pool and Pavilion is situated adjacent to the white sands of Lake Cameron Beach and offers beautiful views of the lake and the neighborhood. The Blue Heron Pool Club features stunning views of Lake Cameron, zero-entry access, a mushroom fountain for the kids and a lap swim area.
The Waters is designed around three beautiful lakes that are the heart of the community. Spend the day fishing or simply drifting along taking in the lake breezes. Our lakes are well stocked with game fish for catch and release recreation, so every fishing trip will be an adventure! In addition to the plentiful 12-pound bass lurking in many of The Waters' lakes, we’ve also created a world-class fishing lake with our 200-acre Lake Cameron—the largest lake in Montgomery County, Alabama. All it takes to start landing trophy-sized bass is a rod and a tackle box. Use one of the many complimentary boats available on Lake Cameron, or slip away to a quiet pier and while away an afternoon. Either way, it’s all just a short walk from home. Lake Cameron is professionally managed by Southeastern Pond Management.
Explore over five miles of breathtaking shoreline by boat, enjoy a leisurely stroll beside the lake, wet your hook, or take in the water views from nearly every location within the neighborhood. No matter how you slice it, the lakes are the heart and soul of the neighborhood. And the Marina is the center of all your water adventures on Lake Cameron, Montgomery County's largest lake. At the Marina, you can host an event in one of the unique multi-purpose rooms, or just sit on the floating dock and enjoy the views. Kayaks, canoes, pontoon pleasure boats and fishing boats are available for residents to enjoy as a benefit of homeownership. And, all watercraft are either people-powered or electric at The Waters to preserve the quiet nature of the community.
At The Waters, active living and interaction with the outdoors is easily accessible. Enjoy a number of beautiful green spaces and parks throughout the neighborhood, perfectly suited for an impromptu game of catch or showing off your kite flying skills. There is a “Bark Park” for your family’s best friend, several children’s playgrounds for hours of fun and a soccer field for practicing kicks. Best of all, everything is accessible by a short walk.
One of the convenient amenities for students and residents at The Waters is the Trail to Education, a path that leads directly from The Waters to Pike Road Elementary School. The Trail is accessible by foot, bike and golf cart. The trail offers students and parents a car-free route between home and school.
Beautifully situated overlooking our sparkling pool and Lake Cameron’s white sand beach, the neighborhood pavilion offers the perfect outdoor space for memorable parties and casual gatherings of any kind. The adjacent outdoor grilling station makes it easy to entertain in style.

Sitting on the shores of Lake Cameron is the Blue Heron Pool Club. Enjoy an outdoor, open-air pavilion with a catering kitchen and outdoor fireplace. The zero-entry swimming pool deck is adjacent to the pavilion allowing for a beautiful event venue. The competition bocce call court and park space allow for a little "competition" on the lakeside.

Practice your dribble or bank-shot at The Waters Sport Court, a full-size regulation basketball court with two basketball goals – with one of the goals lowered for children. Located next to the tennis complex, the Sport Court is the perfect place for a little friendly neighborhood basketball competition.
Our first-class tennis facility provides a perfect venue for the beginner or the seasoned professional. Our five, lighted tennis courts feature a Plexicushion surface, designed to provide players with the highest levels of surface performance and cushioning. Courtside seating allows for a great view of the court and Lake Sweet T, one of our community lakes. Also, just a short stroll away is our sport-court / basketball court. Courts number 3, 4 and 5 have Pickleball markings allowing residents the chance to play what is considered to be one of the fastest-growing sports in the country.
